Mandy Ellen-Principal
Head of Tap / Theatrecraft / Associate Training
Vicky Martin-Head of Ballet
Vicky is a qualified teacher in tap, ballet, Modern, Drama and Freestyle. Since leaving College she has also gained her Freestyle licentiate and hopes to continue her training with the IDTA. She has gained much experience dancing professional in such shows as 'Little Shop of Horrors', '42nd Street' and 'Godspell'.
Vicky teaches in many local schools and joined Mandy's school in December 2006 and look's forward to many more exiting years teaching at the School.
Emma Finch-Head of Modern
Emma started dancing at the Mandy Ellen School of Dance over eighteen months ago, focusing her teaching skills on ballet, tap and modern and is pleased to have joined the Mandy Ellen team as head of modern.
Emma has been dancing since she was three, and during her career has performed on cruise ships, and specialised in caberet performance. Emma has appeared at the Royal Albert Hall in a variety of performances including pantomime and various dancing roles in the West End.
Emma is working towards her licentiate examinations and is hoping to further her career by becoming an IDTA examiner.
Heather Broderick-Drama
Heather has been teaching at the Mandy Ellen School of Performing Arts since September 2007. Following her degree in Manchester, Heather returned to Kent to complete her Vocal training. It is from here that Heather plans to launch a successful career within the performing industry.
Chantelle Finch-Musical Theatre
Chantelle began her dance tuition at the age of four focusing primarily on the Ballet, before expanding her repetoir to include disco. Eventually Chantelle began to travel around England entering competitions with her sister.
Chantelle continued dancing when she went into full time education. She completed her training, gaining qualifications in Musical Theatre Diploma and RSA Exercise to music. After completion of her education Chantelle went on to secure a position at Disneyland Resort Paris where she danced in the parades and side shows. Chantelle then performed on cruise ships. She has also performed in a professional panto in the South East and also a dancer for a tribute act.
Chantelle has also had the opportunity of continuing her education in fitness by becoming a qualified instructer in Step, Circuit and Pilates classes.
Chantelle has been with mandy since September 2007 and has already taken her Freestyle teachers exam

It is crucial that all students attending college are exposed in different ways to the world of Musical Theatre. At The Mandy Ellen Performing Arts College we resource external training via our extensive network of teachers within the profession, all of whom are able to share with the students their first hand experience and skills gained whilst performing
Here are just a few of the trainers and workshops we have presented so far:
Scott Marshall:
Choreographer and Dancer
Scott started his training at ‘The Dance School of Scotland’ which is affiliated with ‘The Scottish Ballet.’ Then graduated from Laine Theatre Arts in 1999. He began his career in musical theatre performing in Saturday Night Fever, Oh! What a Night, then on Eternal Flame as ass. Choreographer. He successfully made the transition over to the commercial world working with singers such as Cher, Pink, Kylie and Dani Minogue, Sugababes, Cliff Richard and many more. He’s also appeared in films such as Beyond the Seas directed and starring Kevin Spacey. Commercial credits include Mazda, Target clothing, Nestle and Sanex. He has been involved in many fashion, hair and trade shows for companies i.e. Peugeot, Virgin, Disney, Nike, All Sports, Marks & Spencer, Clarks, L’Oreal and Charles Worthington to name but a few.
More recently, Scott has been choreographing a few events including Night Fever Cabaret Show – Hilton Park Lane, Miss Great Britain Final – Café de Paris, Dance Party compilation pop DVD – Universal Records, The fat cowboy pop video – Mike stock (formerly of Stock, Aitken and waterman) and DVS – support act for Steps arena tour.
As you can see Scott has experience in all aspects and styles of dance, and likes to be thought of a diverse and innovative choreographer
Pete Moody:
Vocal Coach and Motivational Speaker
Pete Moody is a vocal specialist who has guided thousands of voices to success over the last ten years. Pete studied both classical and contemporary singing from a young age and specialised in the voice whist studying “Popular Music” at Bretton Hall, University of Leeds.
Peter continually develops his teaching strategies to match the requirements for more modern performance, He has gained full accreditation as a skills specialist directly from the Learning and Skills council of Great Britain. Due to his unique understanding of contemporary voice development, Pete has been asked to deliver specialist vocal workshops for West End Performers (and others within the industry), at venue ranging from “The Royal Opera House” (Covent Garden ) to the Royal Highlands Centre (Edinburgh).
Pete has a long line of professional credits including, specialist advisor for Granada Media, Anglia TV, Channel 5, Sky and BBC. Pete presented the ground breaking TV Music show “Showcase TV” for Granada Media. The show out rated MTV and ran on cable and Satellite Channels every night for two years!

Mandy Rutherford:
Dancer
Mandy began dancing at the age of 11 and since has trained under scholarship at some of the best dance schools in the USA, to include; Broadway Dance Centre, Steps on Broadway, Gus Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago and The Edge. Mandy gained a BA in dance from Point Park Conservatory for the Performing Arts in Pittsburgh in 2000.
Having travelled the world as a dancer for cruise-line Royal Caribbean, Mandy moved to London to further her professional career.
Since moving to London Mandy has made a number of TV appearances, including: “The X Factor” (ITV1) choreographed by Brian Freedman “Dancing in the Streets”(BBC1) a large as-campaign for “Sanex” (UK and Worldwide): J&B’s huge viral ad-campaign; and most recently a £million campaign for “Orangina” to be aired in the UK and France. Mandy has made numerous worldwide TV appearances including “The White House Christmas Tree Lighting” (NBC-USA) and “Higher League” (TV1 –Russia). For the “Higher League programme, Mandy taught a high profile dance lesson with Girl-Band Fabrica (The Russian version of Girls Aloud) and was also interviewed by the Russian media.
Mandy is a highly sought after teacher and in addition to a number of master classes, Mandy has lectured at Bird College, the BRIT school for Performing Arts, and The Urdang Academy. Mandy is regularly invited to Moscow, Russia where she teaches master classes in commercial street dance to Moscow’s rich and famous. In addition she made an instructional dance DVD for “The Drive Dance Project” in 2007.
Mandy’s goal is to raise the profile of dance in the UK whilst expanding what the UK dance scene has to offer, starting with the introduction of America’s most successful and exciting dance competitions, Starpower
Lisa Marshall:
Professional Dancer
Lisa began her training at Elmhurst ballet school, and then moved on to graduate from Laine Theatre Arts with a musical theatre diploma. Theatre credits include:- Chitty Chitty, Bang, Bang – international tour, Jus’ like that – UK tour, Costa Romantica Cruise Line and various pantomime’s from Cinderella to Robinson Crusoe. TV credits (dancing) CD:UK, Blue Peter, Top of the Pops, The Lenny Beige Show all for various artists. TV credits (presenting) “Dance Party” compilation CD with instructional DVD for Universal Records and “Your Destiny” TV for NTL channel. Trade shows include Launch of Peugeot 206, Wella, L’oreal, Impulse, Tomorrow’s World and many more. Lisa’s experience also includes session singing for artists such as – Lighthouse Family, Jamelia, Another Level and Full Circle Entertainment. She is very much looking forward to joining the team here.
Beverly Collins:

Rob Foley:
Gymnast and Dancer
Robert hails from Ireland and trained both as a competitive gymnast and as a dancer at the Laine Theatre Arts.
Most recently Rob appeared as Dance Captain and “Policeman” and “Pirate in the Pirates of Penzance” at Kilworth House Theatre. His theatre credits include Swing in “Cats” (Holland), the Rum Tum Tugger in “Cats” – excerpts (Marbella): Assistant Dance captain in “Fame” (Aldwych Theatre): “Chicago” (Larnaca International Festival): Dance Captain: Swing. u/s Bobby C and Double J in Saturday Night Fever (UK Tour) the role of Bill Bailey in the final cast of “Cats” (New London Theatre): Swing u/s Bobby C in “Saturday Night Fever” (Germany) and “Peter Pan” and “Jack and the Beanstalk” (E& B Productions). Robert’s television and film credits include It’s Now or Never (ITV) as a featured dancer: BUPA – Well being commercial (UK) and much much more.
Adam Boland:
Dancer / Choreographer
After completing 2 years at Swindon Dance, Bo went on to do 3 years at Bodywork, with his final year under the principal scholarship.
Bo has seen the world performing in shows such as “Godspell”, “Oh What a Night and Loveshack”. Bo then took his career into the commercial world appearing on TV shows such as Pop World, Transmission and Top of the Pops.
Bo’s choreography credits include pop groups ACD and Stonefoxx along with many productions for colleges around the country. Bo now works as a director for stage and screen. Stage productions include “Our House”, Stags and Hens, “Godspell”, “Grease” and most recently Jim Cartwrights “ROAD” at the Tabard Theatre, West London.
For screen Bo has worked on videos for Fightstar, Mr Fogg, Buiznezz to name but a few and filmed ipod icons earlier this year. Next year he already has a few new films in the bag. Bo also works as a freelance writer and begins production of his first film early next year.
